Surgery as a stream of medical is one of the most appealing,important course to study.Surgery is a division of medical science that treats disease or injuries by operative procedures.Surgical Study is a five-year programme, within that one will spend time in general practice and in community and hospital settings.The four-year accelerated programme is designed for graduates of any discipline who wish to train as a doctor, and others whose prior professional experience qualifies them for entry.

It provides a general medical education for all types of doctor, which will serve as the foundation for later career specialisation.

 After the succesful completion of the MBBS one can draw a salary of 2.5 lpa-6lpa.After experience of minimum 5 years or above the pay scale can increase upto 10lpa-12 lpa or above.

The salary structure for a graduate or postgraduate doctor varies from one organization to another. A doctor working in a government hospital earns less than the one working in a corporate hospital. The increase in the pay scale solely depends on the year of experience and upon the fame of the doctor.

 One can join private corporate hospitals or nursing homes as well as goverment hospitals after the completion of the course.The different posts of a surgeon can be:

 

1.Anaesthesiologists,2.ENT Surgeon,3.Paediatrics Surgeon,4.Neuro-Surgeon,5.Endocrine Surgeon
6.Plastic Surgeon,7.Surgical Oncologist,8.Urology Surgeon,9.Vascular Surgeon etc.

 

 

 For taking admission in Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course candidate should have passed a qualifying examinations as under:

1)Higher secondary or equivalent examination(10+2) from any recognised university with a combination of Physics,chemistry and Biology by securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

2)Candidate should qualify state level or all india Medical Entrance Examination for admission in that particular state medical colleges.

 

Candidates for admission to the first year of the Post Graduate Diploma Courses shall be required to:

1)Have qualified for the M.B.B.S degree of this University or any other University recognized.

2)The admitting authorities of the Institutions will strictly ensure that  candidate has obtained permanent registration certificate from any one of the State Medical Councils.
